Mother and Child / Parent and Child Psychotherapy
Pregnancy, child-birth and motherhood can be a difficult and challenging time. Where pregnancy and child-birth has been difficult and traumatic this can have an effect both on mum and baby. For some, pregnancy and child-birth can bring up unresolved issues and for others the challenges of motherhood and parenting can be overwhelming. Mother and child psychotherapy offers a space for mothers to come with their child to speak and work through any problems and difficulties that they may have. For baby, anything that is affecting mum, will have an affect on baby. This space for mum and baby allows mum to grow and heal enabling a space for both to bond thereby facilitating healthy attachment. This therapy is open to all parents (Mums and Dads) to allow a safe and secure space to work through the issues affecting parenting and bonding.
